On November 17, 2023, Australia launched an historic National Elimination Strategy for cervical cancer. Developed by the ACPCC through a comprehensive co-design process, this strategy targets the equitable elimination of cervical cancer by 2035. It emphasizes priority populations, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, culturally and linguistically diverse people, LGBTQ+ and intersex individuals, people with disabilities, and those living in rural and remote areas. The Strategy outlines specific actions tailored to these groups to ensure equity. This milestone was a collaborative effort, and we extend our gratitude to all partners, stakeholders, and experts who contributed to its development.
