Dr Tessa Saunders (BA, MPH, PhD) is a public health researcher and program manager, specialising in health system improvement, program implementation, and translational research. She has more than 20 years’ experience working across government, primary health care, and academia. She currently leads a program of research focused on improving access to, and the experience of, cervical screening for women with disability at The University of Melbourne, working in partnership with lived experience researchers and project advisors. Tessa’s broader research portfolio advances equity in cervical screening through participatory methods including co-design, collaborative quality improvement, and implementation science. She established and continues to facilitate consumer advisory groups focused on inclusive research engagement and health program improvement.
