The C4 is thrilled about the announcement today by the Australian Government of the release of the National Strategy for the Elimination of Cervical Cancer and a $48.2 million investment to support implementation of the strategy. Along with this, $12.5 million will be invested by the Australian Government in the Elimination Partnership in the Indo-Pacific for Cervical Cancer (EPICC) program, which is a program of work led by the C4 Centre for Research Excellence. This work will build on the success of the current Eliminating Cervical Cancer in the Western Pacific (ECCWP) project, led by C4 and funded by Minderoo Foundation, which has led to sustainable cervical cancer interventions in Vanuatu and the Western Highlands of Papua New Guinea.
