Jenniffer C. Anga is a public health professional with more than 27 years of experience in the health sector of the Solomon Islands, specialising in immunisation program management, vaccine-preventable disease control and health systems strengthening. She currently serves as National Professional Officer for Immunisation (NPO-EPI) with the World Health Organization (WHO) Solomon Islands Country Office, where she supports national immunisation policy development, strategic planning, surveillance strengthening and the implementation of high-impact vaccination initiatives.
Prior to joining WHO, Jenniffer served as the National Essential Programme on Immunization (EPI) Manager for 12 years within the Ministry of Health and Medical Services, leading the country’s immunisation program through significant milestones, including the introduction and scale-up of new vaccines, strengthening routine immunisation systems, and coordinating national vaccination campaigns. Her work has focused on improving equitable access to vaccines, particularly for children and communities living in geographically dispersed and hard-to-reach island settings.
Throughout her career, Jenniffer has been a strong advocate for partnership and collaboration, working closely with national and provincial health authorities, international partners, and local communities to improve immunisation outcomes. She is passionate about advancing vaccine equity and ensuring that every child, regardless of location, has access to life-saving vaccines. Jenniffer is honoured to share Solomon Islands’ experiences and lessons learned at the ECC Conference.
