Su Pei Khoo completed her PhD degree at Universiti Malaya, Malaysia, focused on advancing cervical cancer elimination efforts in Malaysia. She is a fully fledged pharmacist under the Ministry of Health before embarking on her postgraduate training at the Universiti Malaya. Her research endeavors aim to address the three pillars of cervical cancer elimination outlined by the World Health Organization (WHO) specifically in the Malaysian context. This encompasses modelling the impact of HPV vaccination in the population, improving cervical screening coverage via self-sampling HPV testing, refining the clinical pathway of an abnormal screen and addressing the stigma related to cervical screening areas. She was awarded the Global Student Ambassador under the This is Public Health (TIPH) Global Grant Programme by the Global Network for Academy of Public Health to raise awareness on cervical cancer prevention in Malaysia and beyond.
Other than her research projects, Su Pei Khoo also holds the position of Programme Director at the ROSE Foundation, a non-profit organization aims to deliver cervical screening via Program ROSE, a revolutionary Human Papillomavirus (HPV) DNA selfsampling cervical cancer screening methodology, to the underserved communities. In this capacity, she actively contributes to the education, advocacy, and the expansion of cervical cancer screening programs, aiming to bridge the healthcare gap in disadvantaged communities.
