Dr. Allie Carter

Dr. Allie Carter is a Senior Lecturer and Leader of the Sexual Health and Reproductive Equity (SHARE) Research Group at the Kirby Institute, UNSW Sydney. She is also an Associate of the Australian Human Rights Institute and an Adjunct Professor at Simon Fraser University in Canada. Her research program aims to strengthen responses to gender, social justice, and sexual and reproductive health and rights. She holds an NHMRC Investigator Grant and leads several collaborative projects focused on improving equity in access to services and outcomes, including HPV vaccination. One of these projects is Vax4Health, a partnership with NSW Health, local public health units, disability organisations, education institutions, and consumers to improve the effectiveness of school vaccination programs for adolescents with disability.
