Emily Kobayashi is Director of Vaccine Programmes at Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance, where she leads the team contributing programmatic focus to global efforts to expand equitable access to life-saving vaccines in lower-income countries. With more than 20 years of experience in global health, she has held leadership roles across immunization, maternal and child health, HIV, and health systems strengthening programs in Africa and globally. As former Head of Gavi’s HPV Vaccines Programme, she played a key role in shaping global strategies to accelerate HPV vaccine introduction and scale-up, supporting countries to protect 95 million girls against cervical cancer by the end of 2025.
