Our Executive Director, Professor Marion Saville will be joining a stellar line up of speakers for the PHAA Screening Symposium 2023. Marion will open the afternoon session focused on building timely evidence for screening program changes and new technologies.
Australia is at the forefront of cancer prevention and early detection through its national cancer screening programs: Cervical Screening Program, BreastScreen Australia, and the National Bowel Cancer Screening Program. However, significant challenges remain to maximise participation, in particular ensuring equity of access and culturally safe screening practices, and there are gaps in the data needed to support improvements.
The Screening Symposium 2023 program will provide engaging discussions on these topics, and facilitiate contributions from Australian professionals and international experts in the field of cancer screening, through invited plenary sessions and panel discussions.
Held as a one-day event, the Symposium will take place in Melbourne on Tuesday 1st August 2023 at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC).
