Associate Professor Lisa Whop

Associate Professor Lisa Whop is a Wagadagam, Gumulgal Indigenist Epidemiologist and Associate Research Director at Yardhura Walani, the National Centre for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Wellbeing Research, Australian National University where she leads the Cervical Cancer Elimination team. She holds a National Health and Medical Research Council Investigator Grant, leads multiple NHMRC Grants including Screen Your Way which works in partnership with Community Controlled Health Organisations to embed self-collection cervical screening. Lisa is the Chair of the Cancer Australia Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Leadership Committee on Cancer Control and member of the Cancer Expert Working Group for the National Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation.
