Anna Adcock (MA) is a Ngāti Mutunga woman working and completing doctoral study at Te Tātai Hauora o Hine National Centre for Women’s Health Research Aotearoa, Te Herenga Waka Victoria University of Wellington. Anna conducts Kaupapa Māori (by Māori, for Māori) research with Māori, particularly regarding sexual, reproductive, and infant health. She is currently working on a body of research — He Tapu Te Whare Tangata (the sacred house of humanity) — to inform the National Cervical Screening Programme in Aotearoa New Zealand, advocating for the culturally safe implementation of HPV self-testing. Anna is passionate about whānau (family collective) health and wellbeing, and equity.
