Margaret Tarere Lehi is an Obstetrician Gynaecologist working at Vila Central Hospital, Vanuatu. I graduated from Fiji National University in 2019.
I love working with women, covering Preventative and Curative health for them and their children. Apart from my clinical duties at the Hospital, I worked with the Ministry of Health as a Program Facilitator In addressing and promoting Family Planning in Vanuatu, Program Facilitator for Essential Early Newborn Care as well as Gender base Violence working in collaboration with UNFPA and Spotlight initiative in country.
I am also a Focal lead for National Surgical obstetric and Anaesthesia plan development for Vanuatu. Recently the Vice President of the Vanuatu Family Health Association, a Non-governmental institution that also provides reproductive health services to the women and youths.
One of the most exciting work that I am proud to be part of is with Elimination of Cervical Cancer Project in Western Pacific that was recently established at Vila central hospital as a preventative approach to cervical cancer in women of Vanuatu.
