National Strategy for the
Elimination of Cervical Cancer
On the 17th of November 2021, the Minister for Health announced a collaboration with ACPCC to develop a National Strategy for the Elimination of Cervical Cancer in Australia. The development of this Strategy was funded by the Australian Government. Following extensive consultation, including consumer and community input, this Strategy was delivered to the Minister for Health and Aged Care, the Hon Mark Butler MP for consideration. On the 17th of November, 2023, Assistant Minister Kearney officially launched the strategy.
Vision:
An Australia where preventable cervical cancer is a disease of the past, in which Australia’s diverse communities have equitable access to information and to culturally safe and inclusive vaccination, screening and treatment services.

On the 17 November, 2023, Ged Kearney, Assistant Minister for Health and Aged Care officially launched the strategy.
